Our U14 hurlers had the first round of the Championship Tuesday night. The lads travelled to the away fixture in Kinsale. On what was a beautiful evening for hurling, the first half was nip and tuck stuff with some great battles all over the park. Unfortunately, shortly before half time Kinsale struck a few goals to go in to the break 5 points up - Blarney having missed a few goal opportunities themselves. The lads came out firing in the second half and whilst they matched Kinsale on points Kinsale’s goal threat proved the difference and in the end they ran out easy winners 6-11 to 1-11. 
It was a disappointing evening for our lads but they will put it behind them and go again the next day against Inniscarra.
