Blarney’s U14 footballers had a convincing win against Fermoy in the Division 1 County Football Semifinal last night on a scoreline of 2-13 to 2-3 which was played under lights at Kildorrery GAA grounds. 

Blarney had to withstand early Fermoy pressure in the first 15 minutes before getting to grips with the opposition which resulted in a halftime lead of 1-3 to 1-2. 

In the second half, Blarney took early control and went four points up before Fermoy brought it back to a one-point game with a goal. However, Blarney replied almost immediately with a goal of their own and never looked back after that with some great point taking. 

Next up is Midleton in the County Final which is provisionally fixed for the MTU grounds this coming Saturday.
