June brings fierce excitement every year with the Parish League competitions and this year was no different. Last Wednesday evening and again today there was wonderful displays of football on show. Year on year, the prowess of these players improves and it is always a joy to see. The atmosphere on and off the pitch was that of friendly rivalry as the boys kept us entertained. All boys played excellently and battled bravely for their "county". The overall result was a very fair outcome - a drawn game between Mayo and Kerry - both deserved victors. Both captains were presented with the Cian Kirby Cup. However, every player was a winner in their own right, as they showed all the great skills they have learnt all year and most of all - they had fun! Well done to all. And thank you as always to the coaches and club for organising.
