In a wind swept Meath Gaa Development center, history was made yesterday. Four Blarney U15 boys played for Cork in a competitive football fixture against Meath.
Niall Hayes took up corner back and Oran O Sullivan was center back. Both were excellent in defense and were a thorn in the side of Meath with their willingness to attack and work hard off the ball.
Colm O’ Riordan was midfield and again his willingness to show for the ball was evident as he was the link man in many of Cork's attacks which included Cork's first point for David Cronin at wing forward.
Blarney's impact was very evident as the ball was won by Niall who passed to Oran and onto Colm before being sprayed onto David who kicked a great score from outside the D to settle the Cork team after going 3 points down.
The score at halftime was 8 to 7 to The Royals.

The Cork team settled into the game more in the second half. Meath couldn’t match the power, pace and the intelligent play of the Cork outfit leading to a Rebel victory of 1-14 to 10 pts.
