Both teams of the u12 hurling squad came out winners in 2 tightly contested games at home this May bank holiday weekend.
On Friday night, it was Blarney v Ballincollig. A real gutsy display where our lads trailed for most of the match but with unbelievable hard graft and spirited teamwork, they found a late score and secured a great win by the smallest of margins. Final score was 3-2 to 3-1.
Then on bright and beautiful Saturday morning it was Blarney v Carrigaline. The ask was to match the work rate of the previous night's performance. And the boys delivered in spades. A fabulous display of heart and skill from each and every player. The boys were really delighted. Final score was 3-5 to 2-4.
