Blarney/Rathpeacon U16 hurlers and footballers have been busy recently.
They got their hurling league campaign underway on the 16th of April away to Glen Rovers. Blarney started well and led by 6 points at half time. Blarney built on the lead in the second half and finished up winning by 4-11 to 1-11. This game was closely followed by a home hurling fixture against Cloughduv on Friday the 19th of April. The game was close throughout with Cloughduv pulling away in the end to win by four points Blarney 1-13 1-17 Cloughduv.
The lads then played their second football league game away to Ballincollig on Friday the 26th of April under lights. After a great game of football Blarney ran out winners by 3 goals. Blarney 4-9 1-9 Ballincollig.
Next up is a home hurling fixture against Donoughmore on Monday the 29th of April.
